Last June I spent some time in a beautiful garden maintained by a friend. I had to hurry though, because the rain was coming and I could smell it in the air. Thankfully because of the rain clouds, the sun light was diffused and it gave the photos a beautiful soft glow.
I was also invited to be a photographer for Tour A Garden, a public tour of three to five residential gardens in the City of Waterloo. The annual event happens in June and any one can purchase a ticket to visit the selected gardens. When I get more information for this year’s Tour, I’ll be sure to post about it here.

Last year, we had the pleasure of shooting four weddings and numerous portrait sessions!
This year (so far!), I’m proud to say that I’ve got another four weddings booked and three to four portrait sessions booked as well! And needless to say how many nature and event outings to also attend!

And with all these events and happenings, I’m pleased to say I upgraded my equipment. I was fortunate enough to raise the funds to purchase a Canon EOS 40D dSLR with a fantastic 28-128mm lens! (I had to endure six hours in the cold at Future Shop to obtain this new camera, but it was completely worth it!)
I can now say with full confidence that I will now travel to every scheduled photo shoot with two excellent cameras (the 40D as well as the 20D) and a variety of Canon lenses. You just never know when something might happen to your primary camera!
I would also like to remind anyone reading this to keep in mind: I am available last minute and can work within any budget! Our website is currently under construction, but I have created a Contact section if you have any questions, concerns or comments! We welcome them all :-)

On my drive home from work last night, I just couldn’t pass up capturing at least a few images of the glorious sunset. The sky was lit up in every colour – blues, reds, oranges, yellows… it was like a giant wave of fire. I’m still amazed at what my camera captured… talk about being in the right place and the most excellent time.

For the first time, I attended the Waterloo Busker Festival uptown. What a great show! The buskers are really energetic people. Obviously, because they need to get the crowd powered up and cheering. They were successful, I’d say!
Here are a few photos. :-)

Last night there was a fairly large storm that rolled through Waterloo Region. I was able to spend two hours in the outskirts of KW “chasing” this storm. Click on the “Storm” icon to view the photos I took, including a short cellphone video of the cloud cover.
Amazing stuff!
