Family.

My niece, hard to believe, is already 7 months old.

A few photos from Father’s Day weekend :)

First Portrait

My mom found this photo I took in a stack of old prints.
I used to dress my dolls up and "pose" them all around the house. This picture was taken with my mom’s 35mm Vivitar (yes, I remember!) and I was 6 or 7. The only thing I don’t remember is if I purposely off-set the subject or not. Likely not, but it turned out alright for a dull morning without flash.

I would love to re-shoot this. Any purple-haired, glasses-wearing models out there? Anyone have a white wicker chair I could borrow?

Angelic Angelica

Angelica is an up-and coming actress in Kitchener, and I had the honour of spending some time with her to update her photo for future work. Such a sweet girl! She was even on “American Idol” at Disney World just recently and totally rocked the stage.
Watch out for her – she has real talent!

Winter Wedding Teaser

Ashley & Jordan tied the knot on a very chilly yet beautiful winter day!

Here is the lovely bride with her flower girl, getting ready to leave for the church :)

Baby Alana – Kitchener Baby Photographer

My very first infant portrait session just happened to be with my very own niece!

She’s brand new, just two and a half weeks old. And so tiny! I can’t remember the last time I saw or even held a newborn :-)

Framed

Thanks for the photo Krista!

kristaprint2

I captured Krista & Greg’s engagement photos in May, and they used the mat of this frame as their guestbook at their wedding reception!

This seems to be the trend right now, and I really wish we’d done that for our wedding! :)

Teddy Bear

This teddy bear is so cute, I couldn’t resist capturing his portrait!

That is all!

Jessica & Jason Got Married

From Jessica & Jason’s wedding on September 19th.
(I seriously love this new lens!)

In the Boardroom – Candace

Another “back in the day” blog post: Portrait sessions with Candace.

An aspiring actress, Candace approached me about having a few portraits done in June 2007, and then six months later in the middle of winter. We were able to set up in one of the boardrooms after work. The large windows available gave off beautiful natural light.
In December, we met at Victoria Park in the heart of Kitchener for a few winter shots.

Here are a few images I’d like to share here on the blog! There are a few things I would change about how I shot these portraits. One, would be to utilize my tripod, and include the use of the lightsphere.

Free Portraits & Happy Smiles

Over the weekend I had a chance to finally meet one of my longtime online-only friends! It just so happened (and I’m not kidding, it really did just “happen”!) that she won my first ever portrait session giveaway!

I made the hour-long drive to meet with Kathleen and her daughters… and despite the down pour of rain, I think we had a pretty good time out there!

How adorable are they?!
