We’re a little more than halfway through winter. I thought images of seashells and sand (from St Pete’s Beach in Florida ‘96) would be a little encouraging!

A quick break from photography, I wanted to share a cartoon strip that a friend of mine publishes on her website. “Fall on Me” is a cute, funny comic based on her newlywed life, but it certainly attracts any reader! I invite you to visit her website, subscribe to her feed, or just leave a comment in support of a fellow artist! Did I mention Adriana is Canadian? :-) She is also available for commissions, so if you’re interested in a new Facebook profile picture, a new logo for your website, or fresh artwork, she is the person to contact! *edited!* I’ve included a snapshot of the other ’season of trees’ I did a few years ago. Have you ever done this? Taken the same photo in different seasons, and then put them side-by-side? Please share it with me! It’s one of my favourite projects to collect over time! At my parent’s house, I took a photo of the backyard tree looking up in each season. It’s so neat to look back at them. Here is a tree in my neighbourhood that I’ve shot only three times, but come spring, I will update this post to include that photo :-) vibrant fall colours, October, 2008: This is one of my most-viewed photos on Flickr, currently at 426 views since December 2006. Not too shabby! Last week was pretty rough for me! I was suffering from a pinched nerve in/around my neck starting on the Friday (Sept 5th), and when I had a scheduled photoshoot with a mother & daughter on the Saturday, I nearly collapsed from the pain. I hope to reschedule with them, as our time together was unfortunately cut short! I went to the St Jacob’s Farmer’s Market yesterday at noon hour (bad idea, it was jam-packed!) I popped in just to get a bunch of sunflowers. You can find this print in my Etsy shop. |
