My cousin brought a pointsettia plant to my parents last weekend. Since the sun was still out when I went to visit them, I was able to utilize that natural light to capture a few images. My cousin brought a pointsettia plant to my parents last weekend. Since the sun was still out when I went to visit them, I was able to utilize that natural light to capture a few images. This star was dancing atop the plant, and against the snowy background, it really pops.
I’ve found I really like Christmas decorations this year, but just for shooting photographs of them! My husband & I really only have a tree as a decoration in our home. Decorations are pretty to look at, some of them sparkle and are just a reminder of what a beautiful time of year this really is, despite the cold weather. :-)

We had just gone to the bank (no, we didn’t rob it!) and I had had my camera with me (of course). I thought it would make an interesting photo. I just love the crispy feel to new money, and the colours are beautiful and perfect too. It almost makes me not want to spend this money, but since it wasn’t mine, I didn’t have to make that decision :-)

]]> Kitchener-Waterloo received a dumping of nearly 20cms of snow over the weekend!!

It is a winter wonderland out there – unfortunately the sun goes down way too fast and I wasn’t able to capture more images today. Hopefully tomorrow!

I think this snow is here to stay now, unlike the snowfall back on October 29th – that had melted by lunchtime :-)

]]> Last week was pretty rough for me! I was suffering from a pinched nerve in/around my neck starting on the Friday (Sept 5th), and when I had a scheduled photoshoot with a mother & daughter on the Saturday, I nearly collapsed from the pain. I hope to reschedule with them, as our time together was unfortunately cut short!
By Monday I was feeling a bit better. It’s amazing how helpless one feels when you can’t move! I had been given muscle relaxants and they were certainly helping.
When my husband came home from work, he so kindly brought me this bouquet of flowers. I was thankful, especially because the sun was shining in a clear sky – a perfect photo opportunity! :-)
